Giuliani in Savannah on Friday

4 Comments Events & Happenings, Issues & Topics

Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani will be speaking Friday at noon at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront.

Quoted from SavannahNow:

Rudy Giuliani, early frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination, is scheduled to visit Savannah on Friday. Campaign spokesman Elliott Bundy confirmed that the candidate will speak at a noon town hall-style meeting at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront.

State House Speaker Glenn Richardson, Giuliani’s state chairman, is to be in Savannah on Friday, too, said Clelia Davis, Richardson’s spokeswoman. Davis would not say whether the Hiram lawmaker would appear with Giuliani. Bundy said Savannah is Giuliani’s only scheduled Georgia stop Friday but added that he also will appear that day in Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

No matter what your political affiliation, Friday’s event would be a great opportunity to come out and listen to the issues.

“Creative Coast” mention in the New York Times. Hot damn!

4 Comments Extra, extra! (press), TCCa Stuff, We are Famous!

So get this…the “Creative Coast” moniker rocked a mention in the New York Times! Together with Brandi’s hotshot interview on being gluten free earlier in the year, that ain’t too shabby.

Check out the quote from the full article:

Perhaps most notable is a budding art scene that includes the high — a major expansion of the Telfair Museum — and the low — a scene energized by students and instructors at the booming Savannah College of Art and Design. Civic boosters are even trying to reposition the region as the “Creative Coast.”

How cool is that!?!?!
