3 minutes. 12 Questions. Help us shape the future of TCCa

No Comments TCCa Stuff

As many of you may know, we are in the midst of a transition.  As such, we’ve formed a volunteer lead “transition team” to help us evaluate, determine and cooperatively establish TCCa’s future in this community.

The team is also dedicated to discovering the best growth strategies for Savannah and the surrounding business community, and input from that community is critical.

To help us collect your input, we’ve assembled a short, 3 minute anonymous survey:

Please take a few moments to give us your thoughts. It will be vital information in helping us determine the best path moving forward.

Thank you in advance for your time and efforts!

I mean, WOW. When was the last time two HUGE icons were joined together on one stage in Savannah?

(And we don’t mean Paula Dean and Bobby Flay). Well, on Saturday Feb 13th, Savannah and Georgia history will be made when Ted Turner and Hank Aaron arrive in town to be honored by the Georgia Historical Society and the Office of the Governor at its annual Birthday Bash and Awards Gala. Georgia is still spry as a fox at 277 years old and all are welcome (after purchasing a ticket!) to come blow out the metaphorical candles and to wish good cheer and “many happy returns” to our great state.

At the event, Hank and Ted will be made official Georgia Trustees by Governor Sonny Perdue; and, yes, lame duck appointments still count as official. The pair will also be fielding a few questions and reminiscing on what their impactful lives have meant for all Georgians. The Gala will cap off a fortnight (that’s two weeks for the uninitiated!) of festivities commemorating Georgia history and celebrating the life and legacy of native son and baseball legend, Jackie Robinson.

CONTEST: Win one of two FREE $800 tickets to this weekend’s #IxDA conference in #Savannah (in 140 characters or less)!

29 Comments Community Involvement, Contests, Creative, Events & Happenings

Everybody loves a contest. I know I do. So, on this sleepy Monday, we’re going to give you the opportunity to stretch your (right) brain for a chance to win two free tickets to this weekend’s IxDA conference.

What is IxDA, you ask? Each year, the interaction design community gathers to stretch their minds, sharpen their skills and inspire each other. Hosted by the Interaction Design Association (IxDA), Interaction 10 is the third annual conference series that has quickly become one of the can’t-miss events of the year in the user experience world (check out the impressive list of sponsors…from Microsoft to Adobe to Mozilla to GE to Dell.)

For Interaction 10, IxDA is returning to Savannah to build a conference like no other. (Pre-conference workshops begin this Thursday, February 4th, with the conference opening on Saturday.)

Registration will set you back $749, but only here can you pay your way with words – 140 characters or less, to be exact — to tell us why YOU should attend (and make it interesting).
