Office Space

No Comments Creative, TCCa Stuff

Now that it is February, I will get along to answering the question that is on everyone’s mind….What IS it like to work at our TCCi office?

Well….as a new employee…I’m inspecting! Angel and Fitz share an office that resembles a ‘Before’ photo in a Container Store advert. It’s full of amazing creative energy. There is a stack of CD’s piled up on a full bookshelf, which is next to a table full of magazines, papers, folders, and a guest chair or two. Bottles of various sizes of hot sauce line the wall opposing the bulletin board full of childrens art work and photos. Framed SCAD posters encircle the room, while a mini-bottle of tequlia sits sealed daring people to open in case of emergency. Piles and piles of our TCCi stickers tower on a desk near a phone, and a lone TCCi logo covered stool gets moved around from corner to corner. You know that a lot of creative thinking, positive energy and long hours go on inside there.

I tell you what, when an office looks like that, you respect your coworkers. If not, I could walk in for a meeting, never walk out, and nobody would ever find me…

SCAD Superbowl Commercial Design

1 Comment Extra, extra! (press), Schools & Talent

I found an article today on WTOC’s website regarding two local SCAD broadcast design students who applied for a contest showcasing a Superbowl Commercial Design. They were on CBS and were one of the final five finalists in the whole competition! Congratulations to them; that must of been such a cool experience. SCAD students have such talent and it’s great to see them in the national spotlight! The link to the story is HERE; the video link is underneath the title. Again, congratulations guys!

Savannah Area Wine Info

No Comments Events & Happenings, Food & Drink, Local Bid-ness

Did somebody say wine? There are a couple of regional wine events coming up that I though I would post about, considering that we all do love wine so very much!

Savannah Uncorked – A fun cultural event where you can savor wine and help out a good cause, The Rehabilitation Institute at Memorial Health University Medical Center. If you’re in town Sunday March 4th, and have an extra hundred dollars to spare (perhaps some more for a silent auction featuring great gifts), you might want to check out this event! More information can be found through their website here:

For those of you that may not be able to attend this event, on March 10th, Hilton Head Island will be hosting, according to their website, “The East Coast’s Largest Outdoor Public Tasting and Auction”. Count me in!

The only details I have been able to find online have been the time and place, 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Shelter Cove Community Park. I have emails out for more information and will post more shortly.

A couple more options? There are a few South Georgia wineries within an hour of Savannah that you might want to visit; the Meinhardt Vineyards in Statesboro, and the Butterducks Winery located in Guyton.

Flickr

Anyone interested in photography, digital cameras, and Savannah already may know about this, but Savannah has it’s own Flickr web group! If you have photos of Savannah that you would love to share, or if you would like to browse through photos, then check out this site – Savannah Flickr Group.

Anyone with a Flickr account can join and contribute. It’s an amazing way to see Savannah, through the eyes of someone else. You can search all photos by keyword (or ‘tag’ as they call it) to find anything you may be interested in, like, say, tugboats, or Tybee. Flickr is also a great way to showcase your vacation photos, or to email a link of photos to non-local friends and family.

There is a current discussion about a possible Flickr Savannah Group meet-up, so stay tuned for more information!
